Description
A 30 mm glass lens in a round solid brass case that opens on a hinge, like a pocket watch. At 5× it shows the veins of a leaf, the scales of a butterfly wing or the fine print on a seed packet.
Closed, the brass covers the lens on both sides, so it can travel in a pocket with keys. It measures 5 × 4 × 1 cm and weighs 45 g. The brass darkens gently with use.
